If implemented, this may become India’s most important upgrade to the rooftop solar workflow since the launch of the national solar subsidy portal.

Rooftop applications increased sharply in 2025, crossing new records in states like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. However, many consumers still face delays ranging from 15 to 45 days for inspection scheduling and approval.
