Reports collected from DISCOMs and state solar portals highlight issues such as:

• Fake installers collecting advance payments and disappearing
• Untrained technicians causing wiring or earthing hazards
• Installers using duplicate components without disclosure
• Misrepresentation of experience or government registration
• Lack of accountability during post-installation service

The new system will formalize the verification of all individuals and companies involved in rooftop solar installations.

According to early blueprint discussions, the system may introduce:

• National Installer ID linked with Aadhaar / business GST
• Training & certification records for each technician
• Digital verification badges for installers
• Blacklisted installers database accessible to the public
• Background checks for fraud, complaints, or cancellations
• Customer rating dashboard for workmanship quality
• QR-coded verification for on-site technician identity
